Miraka has been selected as one of four suppliers to this year's flagship Tohunga Tūmau Puanga Matariki dinner.

Tohunga Tūmau showcases the finest Māori food, beverage and entertainment.

Our milk powder will be used as a key ingredient in the dessert course. The Matariki dinner will this year be held at Pipitea Marae, Wellington on 23 June.

Kai masters and event organisers, Rewi Spraggon and Grant Kitchen visited our Mokai factory to learn about Miraka. They also visited Tuaropaki Trust's Ngaire George Sustainability Centre to see how bi-products are recycled on the worm farm.

I enjoyed reading about Miraka’s involvement in the Tohunga Tūmau Puanga Matariki dinner. It’s great to see local producers contributing to an event that celebrates Māori food, culture, and sustainability. Community-focused initiatives like this create lasting connections, much like the shared experiences that keep fans of Crossy Road engaged over time.

Their milk powder playing a key role in the dessert course demonstrates not only product excellence but also the importance of local, Pokepath high-quality ingredients in showcasing Māori cuisine. The event itself, held at Pipitea Marae, emphasizes cultural heritage, community, and celebration, making Miraka’s involvement even more meaningful.
