Miraka announces strong milk price updates for dairy farmers
Taupō low-carbon dairy company, Miraka, this week announced strong milk price updates for the company’s dairy farmers for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, which will see the company’s 2024/25 season forecast payout at $9.17 per kilogram of milk solids.
In making the announcement, CEO, Karl Gradon said he expected the company’s milk suppliers to be pleased with the strong 2024/25 season price update.
“Our farmers have experienced a difficult and challenging period, with lower commodities over time and higher operating expenses and interest rates. We’re supporting them with a strong 2024/25 season forecast milk price.”
Joan Barendsen, General Manager On-Farm Excellence agreed saying “We’re really pleased to be announcing an updated 2024/25 season forecast payout of $9.17 per kilogram of milk solids, following the past two months which has seen commodity prices improve.”
For the 2023/24 season, Miraka has confirmed a total milk price of $8.00 per kilogram of milk solids for its suppliers.
“Overall, our average farm performance has continued to go from strength to strength during the past season under our farming excellence programme, Te Ara Miraka.”
“In June, we celebrated a record 13 farms which achieved excellence, qualifying each farm for an extra premium payment of $0.20 cents per kilogram of milk solids under Te Ara Miraka,” said Joan Barendsen.
Since the on-farm excellence programme was launched in 2016, Miraka has paid out more than $25 million in premiums to its dairy farmers.

A $9.17 forecast after the season farmers just had will change a lot of budgeting conversations around Taupo. What stands out is the gap to the confirmed $8.00 for 2023/24, a big swing in one year for anyone pricing milk solids into a rebuild plan. Karl Gradon framing it around operating expenses rather than commodity luck felt honest. Noted in Choicer Voicer Packs for our agri briefing.
I enjoyed going through this article because the information is presented clearly and in a reader-friendly way. Vodaphone is something people may come across when researching communication and connectivity services. Posts that explain these topics in straightforward language are valuable, especially for readers comparing different options. Thanks for the useful information.

Wow, that's fantastic news for the dairy farmers! Hopefully, this stability will help everyone. It's a good distraction from trying to figure out Ragdoll Hit challenges, haha!
