Miraka is one of New Zealand’s largest Māori export businesses, exporting NZD $300 million of premium whole milk powder, skim milk powder, Ultra Heat Treatment (UHT) milk, frozen cream, frozen milk concentrate, and customised milk powders to more than 17 countries around the world.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals with experience working in the dairy manufacturing workforce who possess a positive attitude, are eager to learn new skills, have a mechanical mindset, and demonstrate quick, innovative thinking to operate in our automated manufacturing process.

Applicants must be a NZ resident or citizen, and have either a Restricted or Full Drivers Licence.

What you need to know:

- The position is based at our Mokai factory, 30km northwest of Taupo.
- Shift pattern (2 days on, 2 nights on, and 4 days off).
- Hours of work are 6.00am - 6.00pm.
- You will be required to operate a forklift and Miraka will support with certified forklift training.

Key responsibilities for this position are:
- Running and problem-solving key areas of powder manufacturing.
- Following standard operating procedures.
- Maintaining accurate manufacturing records.
- Managing product sampling, ensuring product meets customer demands.
- Ensuring efficient cleaning schedules are conducted.
- Implementing and maintaining the quality/HACCP plan to ensure the correct procedures are followed and required targets are achieved.
- Supporting the Engineering Team and plant preventative maintenance process.
- Actively contributing to process and production improvements.
- Escalating any product quality and or health and safety issues to the Manager.
