The Miraka Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Wyeth as Chief Executive Officer.
Richard brings with him a number of years experience in the NZ Dairy Industry gained in commercial and global sales management roles in the sector.
Kingi Smiler, Chairman of Miraka is positive Richard is the right man for the job. “Importantly, we are a local dairy company with a focus for long term environmental sustainability and financial security for all suppliers, shareholders and staff. Kingi says Richard leads the team well and everyone involved appreciates his mantra, ‘quality and efficiency in all that we do’. This combined with the sales strength and networks of two of our strategic investor partners, Global Dairy Network (GDN), and Vinamilk in Vietnam will provide strong revenues for Miraka.”
Now that the construction of the plant is well on track and on time for production to commence in August 2011, the recruitment to secure milk supply for the plant is progressing well with a number of suppliers signed up already.
“Miraka provides another choice for farmers as to where to supply their milk Richard says, it is an excellent offer we are putting on the table and for some people competition in this area will be timely. I am proud to be part of the Miraka team. It is good for the local economy, as 31 new jobs will be created in the factory alone and local firms have been contracted to construct the plant.”.
