Miraka Limited, a new entrant to the New Zealand dairy processing industry is backed by a group of Maori trusts and incorporations. These organisations include Wairarapa Moana, Tuaropaki Trust, Waipapa 9 Trust, Hauhangaroa Partnership, Tauhara Moana Trust and Huiarau Farms. Our strategic partners and investors include the Maori Trustee, Te Awahohonu Forest Trust Limited, Vinamilk, a leading enterprise in Vietnam in manufacturing milk and dairy products and Global Dairy Network who bring experience and knowledge in dairy sales and marketing across the world.
As a majority Maori owned and controlled dairy company, Miraka is here for the long term. The owners share a vision of sustainable business practices that will provide long term returns for current and future generations, from land that will never
be sold.
The Miraka brand is represented by the face of a kaitiaki (guardian) and body of Papatuanuku (Earth Mother) and Ranginui (Sky Father) that highlight our inter-connected relationship to one another and the environment. This symbolizes the strong emphasis Miraka places on its responsibility as a guardian of resources. The tauihu (prow) of the waka leads the way to new business opportunities and networks around the world.
The vision of ‘nurturing our world’, reflects a global outlook, and is infused with an integrity founded on a strong set of values that will ensure sustained prosperity for current and future generations.
The Miraka brand embraces the following statement and core values:
Miraka will be commercially successful, built on strong relationships with a focus on quality products and the nurturing of our people.
